Program Overview

Better Future Forward ("BFF") uses SMS text messaging on the BFF Servicing Platform for phone number verification purposes only. This page describes the SMS program, how consent is obtained, and your rights.

How It Works

When you update your phone number in your BFF account settings, you are presented with a consent notice and a "Send Verification Code" button. By clicking this button, you expressly consent to receive a one-time SMS verification code at the phone number you provided.

The verification process:

Log in to the BFF Servicing Platform
Navigate to Account Settings
Click "Change Phone Number"
Enter your new phone number
Review the SMS consent notice which states:
"By clicking 'Send Verification Code,' you consent to receive a one-time SMS verification code at the number above. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
Click "Send Verification Code"
Receive a 6-digit verification code via SMS
Enter the code to confirm your phone number

Message Details

Message Type	One-time verification codes (2FA/OTP)
Frequency	One message per verification request (not recurring)
Sample Message	"Your BFF verification code is: 123456. It expires in 5 minutes."
Opt-out	Reply STOP to unsubscribe
Help	Reply HELP for assistance
Cost	Message and data rates may apply

Consent

By providing your phone number and clicking "Send Verification Code," you expressly consent to receive a one-time SMS verification code. This consent is clearly displayed on the phone number change form before you submit your request.

This consent is not required as a condition of any purchase or service agreement. You may contact BFF support to update your phone number without SMS verification.

Opt-Out

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message from BFF. You will receive a confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent.

Other opt-out keywords: CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, STOPALL.

To resubscribe after opting out, reply START.

Privacy and Terms

Your phone number and verification data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your use of the BFF Servicing Platform is governed by our Terms of Use.

We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.

Supported Carriers

SMS delivery is supported on most major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. BFF is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues.
